UN Steering Committee on Tourism for Development (SCTD)
The United Nations Steering Committee on Tourism for Development (SCTD) brings together the tourism‐specific experiences and expertise of each of its Members with a view to creating synergies for a more coordinated, effective and efficient delivery of technical assistance to developing countries, thus complementing their efforts to establish a competitive national tourism sector.
By embracing the Delivering as ONE initiative , which is based on four principles:– One Budget, One Leader, One Programme, One Office,- UNWTO has joined forces and formed the United Nations Steering Committee on Tourism for Development that aims to strengthen tourism’s potential to contribute to sustainable development.
Thanks to Delivering as ONE, the UN can work towards more coherence, efficiency and effectiveness at country level and achieve reduced transaction costs for the host countries.
Since 2010, the SCTD is composed by:
- International Labor Organization (ILO)
- International Trade Center (ITC)
- United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)
- United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
- United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)
- United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)
- United Nations Industrial Organization (UNIDO)
- United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO)
- World Trade Organization (WTO)

Assisting LDCs and developing countries
The SCTD provides specialized tourism natural heritage assistance aimed at maximizing the sector´s capacity to support countries in reaching development goals, while preserving their cultural and natural heritage.
Supporting LDCs` access to funding mechanism
The SCTD has identified the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) – an Aid-for-Trade mechanism for LDCs –- as a key source of funding in order to facilitate the implementation of tourism for development initiatives.
T he EIF is a multilateral trade capacity development initiative that supports LDCs to become more active in the global trading system. The EIF is currently implemented in 46 LDCs and supported by a multi-donor trust fund with contributions from 22 donors. SCTD will work closely with national focal points to help identify the sustainable tourism development priorities and formulate joint proposals and activities according to EIF principles and procedures.
To support the delivery of an integrated initiative for tourism, the SCTD will build on the strength of each agency and programme to identify and mobilize financial resources necessary to respond to developing countries’ needs. As an innovative institutional framework for Delivering as One for Tourism, the SCTD will also explore the possibility of creating a Multi-Donors Trust Fund for sustainable tourism development in the future

All gas market agents (carriers, distributors, suppliers, GTS, etc.) can access this system, within their corresponding framework of action.
How can a supplier request access to the Grupo Gas Natural SCTD?
Although the SCTD is a common tool for all distributors, access to the information of each distributor is managed separately by each of them.
To request access to the Grupo Gas Natural SCTD you need to be registered as a natural gas supplier with the Ministry of Industry and you should request said access through the Grupo Gas Natural ATR Access Management unit by sending an email to [email protected] , who will reply to the supplier sending them the appropriate technical guidelines and regulations to ensure the registration is effective.
Access the SCTD system from here entering your username and password.
